Admission Requirements

The following requirements generally apply for all international study programmes. Specific requirements for each English-taught study programme can be found under each study programme.

  • Qualifying Entrance Examinations

    Examples of diplomas include:

    • Upper secondary certificates and diplomas from the Nordic countries, European countries (Baccalaureate diploma) and other countries that have signed the European Convention on the Equivalence of Diplomas, Leading to Admission to Universities
    • High school diplomas from the United States followed by either two years of university or college studies in relevant subjects. This also applies to applicants with a high school diploma from countries with a similar educational system

  • English language requirements

    International applicants must pass an internationally approved test*. We accept these tests with the following minimum scores:

    • IELTS (academic test): 6.5
    • TOEFL (paper-based): 550 or
    • TOEFL (internet-based): 83
    • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (CPE)
    • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
    • Cambridge First Certificate with the grade A
    • PTE Academic: 59
    • Duolingo English Test -105-110
    • Oxford Placement Test (OOPT):  75 points in each part (only relevant for partners and educational institutions)

    Applicants holding Nordic entrance exams, an International baccalaureate exam or applicants who have English as their native language are exempt from this requirement.

    *(the test is taken in the applicant’s country of origin or residence – not at Dania).

    Note that the test result must be no more than two years old at the time of possible study start.

  • Verification Form

    In order to apply for higher education at Dania, you must meet the same conditions as applicants with a prior Danish education.

    Depending on the higher educational programme you are applying for, you will need to show documentation of qualifications comparable to the Danish ''Levels''.

    The Levels refer in general to the number of hours of instruction during the last 3 years of upper-secondary education. 

    The list below shows how many hours (60 minutes) of lessons an applicant with a Danish higher secondary education needs to reach various levels.

    Subject: English

    Level: B

    Hours of instruction: 210

    Subject: Mathematics

    Level: B

    Hours of instruction: 250

    Subject: Mathematics

    Level: C

    Hours of instruction: 125

     

    You can demonstrate the Levels by filling in the Verification Form, fully signed and stamped by your education and include a valid transcript of the subjects you have studied in the upper-secondary education.

    If you have not yet completed your upper secondary education, please include confirmed transcripts including grades for the semesters completed until now.

  • Interview on SKYPE

    When you have successfully applied for the international AP degree programme, you will receive an invitation for a Skype interview with one of our counsellors. 

    It will be an informal meeting where our main goal is to test your English skills as well as your motivation for applying to the programme.

    You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the programme and studying in Denmark .

    The interview is mandatory for all students who apply for the international AP degree programmes

  • Signature Page - IMPORTANT

    When you have submitted your digital application(s), you must use the special print icon to print a Signature Page containing a code.

    You must sign and send this signature page to all programmes you have applied for in Denmark.

    Your application will not be considered if you do not send the signature page, as we will not be able to access your application. Signature pages to Dania Academy must be sent by email to admissions@eadania.dk or by post:
