The Talent Camp was aimed at offering students a possibility to enrich their knowledge and gain new competencies during their studies at Dania. 25 places were allocated for the 2-day free course and after completion participants were awarded with certificates.

Intensive learning

On the first day of the course, the students were introduced to practical tools they can use for creative idea generation and implementation of innovative processes in practice-oriented contexts. "They learned how to initiate creative processes and learn about specific tools to manage a development process. Moreover, the course also included techniques about the initiation, control and re-evaluation of the development processes", explains Henrik Pahus, project manager for the Talent Camp at Dania.

As part of the second day, the participants had the opportunity to become acquainted with digital tools for networking. Personal networking, appearance and social media were on the agenda.

"We learned how to use specific tools to develop and strengthen our own personal network and our personal appearance when for example we need to present business ideas in a physical space, in writing and verbally", says Sheila Facius, Hospitality Management student.

The chance to meet fellow students from other campuses was also a win for students. "It was great getting a chance to work with people with different backgrounds and to participate in something besides the day-to-day teaching. I would definitely recommend it to other students", smiles Sheila.

After the success of the first edition, in the spring of 2017 Dania will organize four more workshops with focus on 'design thinking'. Moreover, selected students will have the opportunity to participate in the'Scandinavian Talent Competition' in Sweden.

International students are invited and encouraged to apply for the Talent Camp. For further information please send en email to hpa@eadania.dk
