Once again, Dania was present in France during ISTC's International Week. Founded in 1991, ISTC is a Communications College based in Lille offering specialized courses (Master's, Bachelor) in various fields of communications, such as marketing, advertising, the Internet and Human Resources.
"ISTC Lille is already one of Dania's strategic ERASMUS+ partners, and having participated in the ISTC International Week with one of our best lecturers gives great added value to an already existing cooperation," explains Lise Boegild Jakobsen, Director of International Relations at Dania.
Internationalization goals
After the success of ISTC's first International Week in 2015, ISTC has decided to renew the experience in 2016.
"The objective of the International Week was threefold: internationalization@home for ISTC students, promotion of the institution and networking among professors (among themselves but also with ISTC professors with whom we arranged meetings)," explains Julie Bergues, Manager of International Affairs at ISTC Communications College.
Knowledge exchange
The event proved to be a good opportunity for knowledge exchange and for broadening international perspectives. Bo Sybrandt Hansen, senior lecturer in Communication, Advertising and Media Production at Dania shared some of his knowledge to the French students and talked to them about Denmark and studying at Dania.
"The warm and friendly atmosphere at Ecole de communication ISTC in Lille is truly impressive. Our host, Manager of International Affairs Julie Bergues had a wonderful way of making us, a motley crew of professors and lecturers from around the world, feel comfortable, esteemed, and even cherished," explains Bo Sybrandt Hansen.
"We are so happy that Bo participated again this year and that we have a Dania student doing her 3rd semester in Lille right now, and two French students coming to Dania in the Spring 2017," says Lise Boegild Jakobsen.
An eclectic program
In relation with the classes given by international professors, other activities were organized during the event. "We also had Chinese food made with the precious help of our Chinese teacher, an introduction to Kung-Fu and a closing event that consisted of a game with 100 students, ending with party inside the school," concludes Julie Bergues.
