Experience Ho Chi Minh City as a student
At this two-week summer school in Ho Chi Minh City. we will focus on learning both culture and business skills. We will visit both local and international companies as well as relevant public institutions. At our partner university HUTECH University of Technology you will attend lectures on Vietnamese economy, law, trade agreements and general business environment. You will also be part of workshops on Vietnamese language and culture and cooking school, all which will strengthen the international level in your education.
During the summer school, you will also work with like-minded and curious students from Denmark, Vietnam and other international students, and you will analyse local business opportunities to develop new business ideas. In short: You will work first hand with "Doing Business in Vietnam".
The base of the summer school is Ho Chi Minh City, perhaps better known as Saigon. Ho Chi Minh Cityis a rapidly developing city and one of the largest economic power houses in Southeast Asia. This is clearly reflected in the city's skyline. The city has a long and dramatic history and offers a very wide range of both cultural and culinary experiences. Although our primary base is the city, we will also take a few trips out of town during the two weeks. You will experience the fascinating nature and welcoming locals that Vietnam also offers.

The Course
At this two-week summer school in Ho Chi Minh City, we will focus on learning both culture and business skills. Calendar
The Summer School in Vietnam lasts two weeks and takes place from 28 July - 8 August 2025.

Accommodation
We will be staying at the Huong Sen Hotel in the city center. 2024 prices were: 45 EUR for a single, 55 EUR for a double, 65 EUR for a triple room – incl. breakfast. You are free to choose any other accommodation.

Nomination and Application
Nomination deadline
15 February 2025.
Your home university must nominate you to Dania Academy by this date. We will send you an application link soon after your nomination.
Application deadline
1 March 2025.
The purpose of this early deadline is to enable participants to buy their flight tickets as early as possible to ensure acceptable prices.

Fees and payment
Participation fee: 600 EUR
The fee covers classes, teaching materials, cultural and social activities, company visits and a certificate.
NOT included in the fee: Flight ticket, accommodation, local transport, meals not included in the fee.
Payment:
200 EUR deposit: payment deadline 10 March 2025. The deposit is non-refundable.
400 EUR: payment deadline 1 May 2025
When you have sent your application, we will issue a conditional letter of acceptance with payment details.
Refund Policy:
The deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel your participation before 1 June 2025, we will refund 400 EUR. If you cancel after 1 June, there will be no refund.
If Dania Academy cancels the course, we will refund 600 EUR.

Prerequisites for participating
You must have completed 1 year of study and be at least 18 years old to apply, and at least the European English level B2 (CEFR). We expect you to participate actively, both orally and in writing.

How to get o Ho Chi Minh City - when to buy your flight ticket
Do NOT buy your flight ticket before we have confirmed that the minimum required number of students have been enrolled and paid the deposit. This will happen shortly after 10 March.
It is your own responsibility to get to Ho Chi Minh City. This gives you the opportunity to extend your stay in Vietnam or neighboring countries. Make sure that you buy your ticket shortly after you have been accepted to the course since tickets tend to become more expensive the closer you get to departure.
