Vietnam Summer School

Experience Ho Chi Minh City as a student
At this two-week summer school in Ho Chi Minh City, we will focus on learning both culture and business skills. We will visit both local and international companies as well as relevant public institutions. At our partner university HUTECH University of Technology you will attend lectures on Vietnamese economy, law, trade agreements and general business environment. You will also be part of workshops on Vietnamese language and culture and cooking school, all which will strengthen the international level in your education.
During the summer school, you will also work with like-minded and curious students from Denmark, Vietnam and other international students, and you will analyse local business opportunities to develop new business ideas. In short: You will work first hand with "Doing Business in Vietnam".
The base of the summer school is Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon. Ho Chi Minh City is a rapidly developing city and one of the largest economic power houses in Southeast Asia. This is clearly reflected in the city's skyline. The city has a long and dramatic history and offers a very wide range of both cultural and culinary experiences. Although our primary base is the city, we will also take a few trips out of town during the two weeks. You will experience the fascinating nature and welcoming locals that Vietnam also offers.

The Course - "Doing Business in Vietnam"
At this two-week summer school in Ho Chi Minh City, we will focus on learning both culture and business skills under the headline "Doing Business in Vietnam". We will visit local and international companies as well as relevant public institutions. Calendar
The Summer School in Vietnam lasts two weeks and takes place from Monday 26 July - Friday 6 August 2027.

Accommodation
We will be staying at the Huong Sen Hotel in the city center. 2026 prices were: 45 EUR for a single, 55 EUR for a double, 65 EUR for a triple room – incl. breakfast. You are free to choose any other accommodation.

Your home university must nominate you to Dania Academy by this date. We will send you an application link soon after your nomination.

After you have sent your application, we will issue conditional letter of acceptance. Once you have paid your deposit, we will issue your unconditional letter of Acceptance

Fees and paymentParticipation Fee: 250 EURThe fee covers tuition, teaching materials, cultural and social activities, company and other site visits, as well as a certificate of attendance as documentation of your participation in the summer school.The fee does NOT cover your plane ticket, accommodation, local transportation, or meals that are not explicitly included.Payment:Payment deadline: March 10, 2027.We will send you a link to SafeTicket along with your acceptance email.NB: In the event of cancellation after March 10, your fee will not be refunded unless exceptional circumstances apply.Plane Ticket:You should expect a price between 8,000 and 12,500 DKK. It is important that you purchase your ticket as soon as possible after being accepted into the program, as prices typically increase closer to the departure date.Cheaper tickets can be found, but this will likely mean longer travel times. Thai Airways has daily flights to Vietnam from Copenhagen Airport. If you wish to find the cheapest flights, you might consider flying from Hamburg, Germany.It is your own responsibility to get to Ho Chi Minh City. This means you can combine your summer school with a holiday in other countries near Vietnam.Meals / Catering:Food is cheap in Vietnam, and if you want to enjoy a good meal at a restaurant, you can expect the price to be around 30-40 DKK, including tips and drinks.Accommodation:

Prerequisites for participating
You must be a student at Dania Academy, Academy South West, or one of Dania Academy's international university partners.
You must have completed 1 year of study and be at least 18 years old to apply, and at least the European English level B2 (CEFR). We expect you to participate actively, both orally and in writing.

Travelling to Ho Chi Minh City - when to buy your flight ticket
Do NOT buy your flight ticket before we have confirmed that the minimum required number of students have been enrolled and paid the deposit. This will happen shortly after 10 March.
It is your own responsibility to get to Ho Chi Minh City. This gives you the opportunity to extend your stay in Vietnam or neighboring countries. Make sure that you buy your ticket shortly after you have been accepted to the course since tickets tend to become more expensive the closer you get to departure.
