The Production Technology education is a combination of practical and theoretical tools and methods. This combination of professional and practical skills gives you particularly good experience for your future job as a production technologist.
In your first 3 semesters, you receive group teaching at the business academy. There will also be project work here. Teaching is based on real-life examples. You come on company visits and deal with cases from the business world.
The first and second semesters are joint semesters where the basic tools are taught. In the 3rd semester, you choose a specialization where you can immerse yourself even more.
The fourth semester takes place outside the business academy. The first half is an internship in a company of your choice. In the last half, you work on the final project, which can also take place in the company.
Here you learn to manage and plan a production based on the customer's wishes. Essential subject elements are circular economy, product flow, planning and optimization. The desire is to use the company's production equipment as optimally as possible, taking sustainability into account.
Based on the customer's wishes, you learn about the phases of product development from idea to production. Among other things, you learn to sketch and visualize your ideas through prototypes - e.g. 3D printing.
Here you learn to design and construct in the right dimensions, in the right material and to take into account the requirements and specifications specified by the customer and the legislation. As a natural part, considerations about sustainability and production methods are included.
Which material is the best and how can it be recycled as much as possible? It varies from project to project, and you will learn about different materials and their properties, strengths and weaknesses, so that you can come up with a qualified answer to the question at any time.
In order to be competitive, you must constantly focus on automating the production equipment. Therefore, you learn about hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
During technical documentation, you learn to document your idea development and construction in the form of drawings made according to current standards for the purpose of production.
You learn to use CAD tools, where 3D modeling is an essential part.
Here you learn to work in project groups, prepare management tools and report on the project progress. We work with various tools such as SCRUM and Agile.
Here you learn to create instructions and procedures for a company's quality system.
You will also gain an insight into business economics, systems for production management as well as the environment and working environment.
