Kick-start your financial career with an Academic Profession degree of 120 ECTS in Financial Management.

Do you want to be a real estate agent, bank advisor or accountant? The education as a financial economist gives you the financial knowledge and skills to work with financing, insurance, property trading and property administration nationally and internationally.

You will be prepared for various jobs in the financial world, and depending on the direction you choose, you can work in banks, insurance companies, estate agent chains, and mortgage credit institutions, for example as an adviser, estate agent, middle manager, consultant or work with financial management in a Corporation.

Content and structure

The Financial Management programme combines theory and practice. The first 3 semesters take place at the business academy. Here you will encounter both classroom teaching and group-based project work - both parts are practice-oriented and close to reality.  Among other things, you will become familiar with company visits and cases from the real world.

In the fourth and last semester, you must do an internship, where the theories must be tested in practice. After the internship, you only need the final assignment.

Curriculum

  • Industry knowledge

    "Industry knowledge" is about the structure of the financial sector.

    You will get to  know the most important different types of financial services and products, and you will learn how each of them is relevant in relation to different customers.

  • Business Law

    The legal subjects in the Administrative Coordinator education give you an understanding of the basic legal method – and how it is applied in the administrative field.

    We also work with the creation of laws and other binding regulations:
    Where do laws and regulations come from?
    And how do they become applicable law?

    In addition, we work with administrative law, case management, and personnel law.

    All of this enables you to cooperate and participate in the legally sound processing of cases in both private and public settings.

  • Communication

    Communication can be seen as an overarching theme that speaks to all the subject areas of the education.

    There is a focus on communication theories and communication models as well as concrete tools for oral and personal communication, as well as written communication.

    Also contains internal and external company communication.

  • Economics

    As an administrative coordinator, you will be introduced to social economics, international relations, and business economics.

    During the course, you will gain an understanding of the various problems that can arise when it comes to budgeting, project finance, and the triple bottom line in private companies and the public sector.

  • Personal finance

    In the private finance part of the training, you will gain insight into how to analyze a private customer's finances. You will also learn how to advise ethically correctly.

  • Statistics and method

    Within the area of ​​method, you learn how the connection is between problem formulation and knowledge, choice of method and result. You will learn about data collection, data selection, analysis and reporting, as well as its presentation. The statistics subject contributes to you learning how to apply statistical analysis to your data to assess relevant issues in the financial industry. The subjects are particularly relevant in relation to writing written reports on the course with a good structure.

  • Social economy

    "Societal economics" will give you knowledge of national and international economic contexts.

    For example, you will learn about income, interest rates, and exchange rates, as well as about inflation and employment.
