Content and structure

The education is an online education, but twice during the first academic year, we meet for physical meetings on Campus Skive for 2-3 days. The first physical meeting takes place in the first week of study to allow you and your fellow students to get to know each other and your lecturers well. 

With the e-commerce training, you will be equipped to run and develop e-commerce and digital marketing. The teaching of the e-commerce course involves cases from the real world. In the 3rd semester, you get an internship, where your theoretical skills in e-commerce are brought into play in practice. The internship can take place in your own company - called entrepreneurial internship, abroad, or as a more traditional internship. Finally, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in an area that you are particularly passionate about before you have to write your bachelor's project.

Curriculum

  • Digital business understanding

    In digital business understanding, you learn to analyze complex digital business strategies and competitive situations.

    You get to know the common business models within e-commerce and gain an understanding of the various tools and processes that are part of a strategic e-commerce solution. 

    In addition, you learn to uncover the entire value chain, identify relevant suppliers and assess their impact on a company's competitiveness.

  • Advanced Digital Marketing

    In Advanced Digital Marketing we get around the central concepts, models and theories within digital marketing.  You will thus also receive training in online marketing as part of the e-commerce training.

    You learn to set goals, and use and process data and statistics to optimize the company's online sales potential.

    We work analytically and strategically to plan digital marketing, and you learn to measure the effect to optimize efforts. 

    You will also learn about the relevant laws in the area as well as assess the consequences for the company's digital marketing.

  • Customer experience

    In this subject element, we take the customer's perspective, and you learn to analyse, map and design a good customer experience within e-commerce. 

    You gain insight into the central theories and methods for analyzing the complexity of customer journeys, and you learn to apply them concerning the digital business. 

    We work with customer experience management (CEM) as a discipline and planning tool to manage the development of the digital business with a focus on optimizing the customer's experience. 

  • Data analysis

    Data analysis plays a crucial role in running and developing a well-functioning online business. 

    In this subject element, you learn to use the basic tools to collect, analyze, conclude, and act based on data. 

    You will use website data and other available user data in a targeted business strategy, and you will learn to draw up data-driven action plans for a company. 

     

  • Creative content

    Here you learn how to create good content for content marketing. You get a theoretical understanding of the good content, and we look at the latest trends.

    You work both with language and visuals, and you will concretely work with the wording of text and setup in e.g. photoshop. 

  • E-commerce technologies

    In this subject element, you learn about the various systems used in e-commerce as well as integration with other systems, including payment systems. 

    You will be trained to analyze and evaluate different platforms in relation to technological possibilities and limitations, so that you can choose the best possible solution and justify your choice. 

    In this part of the e-commerce training, we work both with setting up and operating e-commerce technologies, and you also get the basic knowledge of online payment processing and the relevant legislation in the area. 

  • Scientific theory and method

    In this subject element, you gain a basic understanding of how knowledge is created.

    You will work with central methods within the project and report writing, where you will, among other things, learn to prepare a problem analysis and work with different research methods.

    You learn to structure your analysis work and analyze data according to the principles of scientific work.

    It gives you the skills to organize qualitative and quantitative studies independently, which you can use to qualify your analysis of various parameters within e-commerce.
