Workshop manager directly after graduation

Car dealer Ejner Hessel A / S employed Tino Christensen as a supervisor while he was still studying at Dania Academy. Despite dyslexia, he received good marks because electric cars for him are easier to write about than poems.

With 22 departments and 1200 employees, Ejner Hessel is Denmark's largest car dealer. Around 70 supervisors keep track of both the cars and the employees of the departments. 

The youngest, who has ever been employed as head of a department, is 30-year-old Tino Christensen, who is an Automotive Management graduate from Dania Academy in Viborg.

I have to be a good technical advisor, but I also have to be service minded. Our customers must have a good experience and I do my best to be a good host and accommodate their needs.

He is in fact dyslexic; however, his grades were impressive. For him it is easier to write about electric cars than poems.

"The subjects and the theory may sound difficult, but for me they were not. When you do something you care about, it becomes easy to understand. I feel that I have developed a lot through this education, ”says Tino Christensen, who graduated on Friday - and started on Monday as a supervisor.

Ambitious and customer-oriented

Some of the customers found it difficult to believe that Tino was the workshop manager, because of his age, but they quickly found out why. He is able to answer any questions from the customers and thus provide the service that they deserve.

After the 2-year Automotive Management education, the students not only know an engine in and out, but also have in-depth knowledge about management, communication, IT and organizational culture. They are equipped with a wide range of skills and competencies, representing advantage for a job as a workshop manager.

  • Two-year higher education with at least 3 months of internship
  • You can choose a specialisation between Engineering and Management

    • Workshop/Garage Manager
    • Diagnosis Technician
    • Floor manager
    • Consultant
  • Accommodation in student dormitories is guaranteed to all students
  • The studies start in September
