After hosting 47 potential students from Lithuania and Poland, it was Dorina’s time to visit Dania. Dorina Fejes comes from Budapest, where she is finishing her secondary education, she is passionate with photography and likes travelling. In full admission season, Dorina decided to come all the way to Denmark.
‘’Denmark has always been an inspiration for me. I wanted to visit the universities I will apply for, in order to get the bigger picture and to see things with my own eyes. It’s like a sneak peek to how my life is going to be like from September’’, says Dorina.
First impressions
Dorina started the search for the dream university two years ago. She began reading blogs written by Hungarian residents in Denmark while her passion for portrait photography also helped her discover the Happiest Country on Earth through the lens of her camera.
‘’I am already in love with Denmark, and especially with the people here. Everyone has been very helpful so far. Smiling all the time too. And that helps a lot in my decision process, and in my art too’’, she smiles.
After visiting two other campuses, Dorina joined the Open House event in Viborg to see things for herself and talk to some of the students and lecturers.
‘’Everything is so modern and colorful. It is very different from what we have back home in Hungary. You really have the feeling that you step into a movie scene with an American university, where everything is open and so much fun’’, she explains.
Full support from family
Dorina was not alone. Her mother accompanied her, offered support and asked several questions.
‘’My mom is encouraging me to follow my dream and come study in Denmark. I’m glad we both had the chance to meet so many lovely people and see all these exciting places. I can’t wait to be back here’’, she concludes.
