Where are you doing your internship?
- I have started my internship in Herzebrock, Germany at STEINEL, a company established in 1959, which produces sensor lights and tools (hot air tools, heat guns). They were the first to use sensors for lightening and currently they have registered more than 300 patents, designs and models for their inventions. Although it is a very complex industry, I really like it. I think it is exciting!
Why STEINEL and how did you find them?
- I first got in touch with the company a few years ago at an exhibition. When I had to find an internship company, I thought it would be a good idea to try to reconnect with them. Luckily, it worked out well.
What are your daily tasks?
- I will spend half of my time in the Marketing department, where I have my own project. I must create a new promotion plan for some products in order to increase sales both online and offline. The other half I will work with the E-Commerce department. Although I just started, I was already involved in one of their exhibitions in Munich.
What are your expectations?
- I hope to get a lot of experience. Now I am part of a big company that creates new technologies, sets trends and innovates. I hope to learn a lot about their products and customers. Moreover, I would love to learn the German way of thinking and working as well as their details-orientation. I also expect to improve my knowledge about E-commerce.
Recommendations for future students?
- Don't be scared and just try everything what is offered to you.
Finally, why do you think Dania's students find exciting internships?
- Because of our education and training in practice, as well as our international mindset.
