The EU funds are meant to make a difference for small and new businesses in central Jutland within the next two years. Dania and other Danish institutions have managed to get more than 800,000 DKK as part of a project where students, must work with innovation and growth for start-ups and small companies.

Among other things, the money is intended to increase the number of collaborations where students work on specific innovation projects with companies. It is mainly going to be about product development, new processes, new technology or globalization.

Another part is talent development, where the students will create growth and innovation in business through internships and networking across the national borders in the north. In this regard, they will help to ensure the positive development of the companies.

"The main idea is that the project must establish a framework where students and companies can establish specific value-added collaborations in order to develop innovation, growth and to exchange new knowledge," explains Head of Research and Development at Dania Academy, Mai Britt Jacobsen.

The other participants in the project, which will run between 2016-2018, are Region Midt, Aalborg University, CLL Campus Varberg, Coompanion kooperativ utveckling i Halland EK, Marknad Varberg, Erhvervsakademi Mid West, Business Academy Aarhus, VIA University College and the Greenhouse Foundation in Gothenburg.
