Campus Viborg is currently getting a drastic make-over. The institution on Prinsens Allé will have a different interior design with brand new furniture and graphics. With the help of local companies, the project is nearly finished and it is supposed to have great impact on the organization. Motivating the existing students and attracting new ones are the main goals of this ambitious project.
All about student needs
Several surveys among students from Campus Viborg revealed the need for a change. Throughout the years they have suggested many aesthetic and functional improvements to their study environment. "We got the idea by listening to the students. Every year in our questionnaires they suggested we make some changes to the campus and so we did! We want to offer students the best place to Study." says VIA Service Manager Claus Nielsen.
For now, only the ground floor central area will get a face-lift. "Only the downstairs space will be modified. We want to bring more people down to grab a bite at the cantina, socialize or even have meetings. The rest of the campus will be progressively changed, but for now this is the main focus" says Claus Nielsen.
What students say
Reactions do not cease to appear. Students already express their feelings regarding the ongoing project. "The new design invites us to socialize more" says Daniel, while Gabriel feels that "the project looks interesting! It is a great place to hang out with friends and study as well."
The changes are already visible and the differences are striking: "Nothing looks like before!", says Rasmus, one of the students. Claus Nielsen believes that the investment will pay off. "Their level of contentment will be seen at the next questionnaire. I am sure the results will be more than satisfying"
Dania Academy and VIA students will have the opportunity to see the complete design soon. The grand opening is Monday, March 2 when the campus organizes a special event together with the partner companies. "Everyone is invited!" says Claus Nielsen, so come and see for yourself!
